On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned phone records and evidence recovered from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a trip in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported investigations and remains open.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

A separate phone message, presented in court, captured Ms Wandelt saying: "I realize I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine was, but I know what I believe."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "What if there is a small chance that I am she? What then? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a living here in Poland, I just want to understand," the recording stated.

The jury was advised that through emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a genetic test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a effort to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, a data specialist with the police force who compiled the data, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt additionally contacted family friends of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On that date, Mr McCann picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my point."

The court heard the co-defendant established a connection through digital means with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' home in Leicestershire in last December.

Communication data demonstrated Mrs Spragg had reached out using messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be considered genuine in the months leading up to the visit to Rothley, that area, in that winter.

The court learned correspondence between the two individuals, in that autumn, planning trying to acquire Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We need to make a stand," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the appearance to their home, the defendant dispatched a message which said: "We are positioned near the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark like private investigators. I wanted to do this with another person I never thought I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings continues.
